At Sanctuary Living, every piece begins with a design story.
Our prints start as hand-painted artworks, which are then carefully translated onto fabric through digital printing. Alongside prints, we work extensively with solid-dyed fabrics, textured weaves, embroidery, and yarn-dyed knits. Each product is then stitched, finished, quality-checked, and packed in-house in small batches.

Because our fabrics go through multiple processes — printing, dyeing, embroidery, knitting, and stitching — gentle and mindful care is essential. Following the guidelines below will help maintain the colour, texture, and structure of your product, allowing it to age beautifully over time.

LINEN

Fabrics used in this category: Linen, linen blends
(Hand-painted designs digitally printed, solid dyed, or embroidered)

Linen is a natural fibre known for its breathable texture and relaxed finish. Our linen products may feature prints, embroidery, or solid dyeing, all of which require gentle handling.

For Printed and Solid dye:

Care instructions:

• Washing: Gentle machine wash in gentle cycle, wash in 40 c.
  
• Detergent: Use a mild Liquid detergent
  
• Bleaching: Do not bleach and avoid soaking
  
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying
• Ironing: at medium heat if required
• Spot Cleaning: gently dab with warm water and avoid dry cleaning
• Folding & Storage: Fold gently without pressing or creasing tightly, as hard folds may cause creases and lead to fading of prints and colours.
  
  

COTTON

Fabrics used in this category: Cotton, cotton slub, cotton voile
(Dyed, printed, or embroidered)

These cotton fabrics are selected for comfort, breathability, and everyday use. Depending on the design, they may be dyed, printed, or embroidered.

For Printed and Textured

Care instructions:

• Washing: Gentle machine wash in gentle cycle(30-40 degree)
• Detergent: Use a mild Liquid detergent
  
• Bleaching: Do not bleach and avoid soaking
  
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying
• Ironing: at medium heat if required
• Spot Cleaning: gently dab with warm water and avoid dry cleaning
• Folding & Storage: Fold gently without pressing or creasing tightly, as hard folds may cause creases and lead to fading of prints and colours.
  
  

For Embroidered

Care instructions:

• Washing: Dry Cleaning , Rough washing or improper care may cause the embroidery to loosen, fray, or become damaged.
• Bleaching: Do not bleach and avoid soaking
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying
• Ironing: at medium heat if required
• Spot Cleaning: gently dab with warm water and avoid dry cleaning

VELVET & MICROVELVET

For Embroidered and Printed 

Care instructions:

• Washing: Dry Cleaning  recommended
• Bleaching: Do not bleach, avoid soaking and machine wash.
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying
• Ironing: Avoid Ironing and lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture          
• Folding & Storage: Fold gently without pressing or creasing tightly, as hard folds may cause creases and lead to fading of prints and colours.       
          

For Solid Dyed

Care instructions:

• Washing: Handwash them separately
• Bleaching: Do not bleach, avoid soaking and machine wash.
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying
• Ironing: Avoid Ironing and lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture          
• Folding & Storage: Fold gently without pressing or creasing tightly, as hard folds may cause creases.                           

For Round Cushions

Care instructions:

• Washing: Dry Cleaning  recommended and handle with care as this is a handicraft product it can ruin the product 
• Bleaching: Do not bleach, avoid soaking and machine wash.
• Spot Cleaning: gently dab with warm water and avoid dry cleaning
• Drying: Line dry in shade and avoid tumble drying     
• Ironing: Avoid Ironing and lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture    
  
  

WOOL

Fabrics used: Wool and merino wool
(Knitted, woven, yarn-dyed)

Our wool products are designed for warmth and softness, and are knitted using natural fibres that need gentle care.

For Wool Throws   

Care instructions:        

• Washing: Dry Cleaning  recommended 
• Detergent: Use cold water and mild detergent
• Bleaching: Do not bleach, avoid soaking and machine wash.
• Spot Cleaning: gently dab with warm water and avoid dry cleaning
• Drying: Line dry in shade, wring and avoid tumble drying and recommended to dry flat to maintain shape
  
• Ironing: Avoid Ironing and lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture                    
• Folding and storage: Store folded to avoid stretching
  

For Knitted Throws 

Care instructions:

• Washing: Dry Cleaning  recommended 
• Detergent: Avoid  cold water and detergent
• Bleaching: Do not bleach, avoid soaking and machine wash.
• Drying: Line dry in shade, wring and avoid tumble drying and recommended to dry flat to maintain shape
• Ironing: Avoid Ironing and lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture    
• Folding and storage: Store folded to avoid stretching
