Fabric-wise Care Guide
At Sanctuary Living, our products are made using premium fabrics that go through processes like printing, dyeing, embroidery, knitting, and stitching.
Since each fabric behaves differently, we’ve outlined fabric-specific care guidelines below to help maintain colour, texture, and finish over time.
Fabrics used in this category: Linen, linen blends
(Hand-painted designs digitally printed, solid dyed, or embroidered)
Linen is a natural fibre known for its breathable texture and relaxed finish. Our linen products may feature prints, embroidery, or solid dyeing, all of which require gentle handling.
Care instructions:
- Cold machine wash separately on a gentle cycle
- Use mild liquid detergent to protect the yarn and print
- Avoid soaking, bleach, and tumble drying to prevent discolouration
- Line dry while the fabric is slightly damp to reduce wrinkles
- Iron at medium heat if required
- For spot cleaning, gently dab with warm water
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to minimise fading
- We recommend machine or hand wash over dry cleaning for better longevity

(Dyed, printed, or embroidered)
These cotton fabrics are selected for comfort, breathability, and everyday use. Depending on the design, they may be dyed, printed, or embroidered.
Care instructions:
- Wash separately in cold or warm water with mild detergent
- Avoid soaking, bleach, and tumble drying
- Line dry in shade to preserve colour and reduce wrinkles
- Iron at medium heat if needed
- For spot cleaning, gently dab with warm water
- Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight
Fabrics used: Velvet, cotton velvet, micro velvet
(Dyed, embroidered, printed)
These fabrics have a soft pile and require gentle handling.
Care instructions:
- Dry clean recommended
- Do not machine wash, soak, or wring
- Avoid direct heat and steam
- Lightly brush with a soft cloth to maintain texture
- Store folded gently to avoid crushing
Fabrics used: Wool and merino wool
(Knitted, woven, yarn-dyed)
Our wool products are designed for warmth and softness, and are knitted using natural fibres that need gentle care.
Care instructions:
- Dry clean recommended
- If hand washing, use cold water and mild detergent
- Do not soak, wring, or tumble dry
- Dry flat to maintain shape
- Store folded to avoid stretching
